Take A Blind Step

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Each of these people - Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, Job, the centurion, the paralytic, the leper and the woman who believed if she only touched the hem of Jesus’ garment that she would be healed - all have one thing in common.

They did not know what was in their future, but they trusted the Lord enough to take a blind step. They each took a step of faith and put total trust in the Lord.

They had enough faith in the Lord to say, I may be wrong, but if this is truly what God desires, then He will see me through, He will heal me, He will protect me, He will guide me, He will not leave me or forsake me.

They followed what was on their heart to do and God was faithful to each one of them. He helped each one through their trials, He healed and restored, He guided and protected, and He loved each one.

We don’t know what lies in the next step we take either. But, if we allow Him, God will guide each of us also. We have a very special helper that God has given each one of us. That helper is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit lives in us and guides us, if we choose to listen. All we have to do is follow our heart and not our flesh.
