Judgment Starts At The Top

For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" 1 Peter 4:17-18

God will start with the family of God first! These are the people who have come to know the truth of the word and have tasted the sweet goodness of God’s grace.

God once put it on my heart that He will start at the top and work His way down through the ranks because those who are at the top are the most accountable for their words and actions. They are the most accountable for the way they lead others in their daily lives.

The people at the top are teachers, they show the way to go and therefore will be judged more strictly for the things they do and say. (James 3:1) Leaders are example setters, showing people the path they should follow. They hold the offices of prophet, teacher, evangelist, and pastor.

Those who are acceptable in God’s sight will have rewards, but those who are not acceptable will be removed so that the ungodly and sinners will have an opportunity to see the truth.
