Are You Separated?

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2
God can do anything He wants, when He wants. But the truth is that God allows us to choose right from wrong. He does not force us to follow His ways.
When we come before God with a request for help, we should always come before Him with a clean, pure heart. Recognize that God is our Father and that He is the ultimate authority; thank the Lord for the grace He gives and for His loving kindness and for helping you in all ways; seek forgiveness for the wrongs you have done; then make your request known.
But you must be sincere. God knows your heart. You can’t pretend to seek forgiveness; it must be a sincere desire.
It is the sincerity of seeking forgiveness which heals the separation.
