Take it to Heart

It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, because that is the end of every man, and the living takes it to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for when a face is sad a heart may be happy. Ecclesiastes 7:2-3
As Children of the living God, we need to see everything from a spiritual perspective. In doing so, you will see that in death, we have life.
The house of mourning is our spirit and the house of feasting is our flesh.
The more our flesh dies, the more our spirit lives. We kill the flesh when we go through hard times and we lean on God, and not ourselves or others, to help us through it. Trials help us learn to be closer to God.
Verse 2 says “the living takes it to heart.” We understand that our time here on earth in the physical form is only a moment in time and that our destiny is to be living with our Father in heaven for eternity. We rejoice and have peace because we know that we have life!
