Grace in Greek is Charis (khar'-ece) good will, loving-kindness, favour - of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Romans 6:14-16

We are under grace. But many don’t truly understand what this means. Does it mean it’s ok to sin? Just as Paul said, “NO”.

Jesus came to fulfill the law, not get rid of it. (Matthew 5:17) The sacrifice of Jesus is a gift of love from our Father - one sacrifice to forgive the sins of the world. Jesus died, so you don’t have to.

Jesus proclaimed that we should love God with all our hearts, and that we should love our neighbor as ourselves. The Bible teaches us how to do this, from the law in the Old Testament, to the proclamation Jesus made in the New. The Bible teaches us not just how much God loves us, but also how we should love God and one another.

As we learn and grow spiritually, we come to truly understand the love God has for us. We come to understand that we make choices in doing right and wrong, and that God may chastise us in order to keep us on the right path when we choose wrong. And we come to understand that He will forgive us when we make mistakes if we are sincere in our desire to be forgiven and to do what is right.
